The Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors are set to face off in a massive game on Tuesday night. The Lakers enter this game with just a 1.5 game lead over the Warriors in the Western Conference standings. Currently sitting in 9th, the Lakers have just one less loss than the 10th seed Warriors.

The Lakers have released their injury report for this game, and star forward LeBron James is being listed as questionable with flu like symptoms. This will certainly be a status to follow, as the availability of James has a massive impact on this game.

Both the Lakers and Warriors have been playing some solid basketball to close the season. The Lakers have won eight of their last 10 games, and the Warriors have won seven of their last 10 games. While this hasn’t resulted in any significant movement in the standings for either team, as the rest of the Western Conference has remained very competitive, it has put them both in a position to potentially move up the standings in the final week of the regular season.

The outcome of this game will likely go a long way towards determining who finishes where in the play-in tournament. The Lakers and Warriors want to get into the top-eight, as that would give them two chances to win one game. Climbing any higher than that is unlikely for both teams, but still remains an outside possibility.

Needless to say, this game is a big one between Golden State and Los Angeles.
