The Boston Celtics and Golden State Warriors faced off in the 2022 NBA Finals, and while Boston was touted as a bad matchup for Golden State, Steph Curry and the Warriors were too much for the Celtics to handle.

While Golden State can never be entirely ruled out when looking at possible championship contenders, they certainly have not looked like one for most of this season. As for Boston, they have been the best team in basketball all year, and are widely considered the favorites to come out of the Eastern Conference.

During an NBA on TNT appearance, Celtics star Jaylen Brown and Warriors star Draymond Green joined the show as analysts alongside the Inside the NBA crew. When asked to complement each other, Green and Brown exchanged nice messages, with Brown adding that the Celtics will be ready for Green and the Warriors in the Finals this year, unlike in 2022.

"Draymond does what Draymond does," Brown said. "Just bringing that force to the game... Without him on the floor, some of them championships don't happen. That force that he brings on defense and offense, and sometimes it goes a little extreme, but that's how you win... When I played against you in the Finals, when you went to that level of just force, we wasn't ready. But we gonna be ready this time."

While it feels unlikely at this point for Golden State to make a Finals run, perhaps they can have a turnaround similar to the one Boston had in 2022.
