Details of NBA's Draymond Green vs. Rudy Gobert Investigation Revealed

The NBA is looking into the Golden State Warriors vs. Minnesota Timberwolves incident

While the NBA has not announced their punishment for Draymond Green after the Golden State Warriors forward placed Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert in a chokehold, details of their investigation were recently revealed by ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski:

According to Wojnarowski, the NBA is conducting interviews with those involved and reviewing all angles of the tape. One of the more interesting details that Wojnarowski revealed, is that the NBA is expected to consider Green's history of incidents like this when determining the severity of his punishment.

Having been involved in several different incidents like this throughout his career, Green could be looking at a more severe suspension because of that. With the Warriors scheduled to play their next game on Thursday, the NBA will likely issue a statement prior to that game beginning. While it's unclear how long Green will be suspended for, it's reasonable to assume he will not be available when the Warriors play the OKC Thunder on Thursday, which will mean Golden State will be without Green and Steph Curry.

Dealing with a minor knee sprain, Curry has already been ruled out for Thursday's game, which puts the Warriors in a rough spot likely down two starters. Curry is undoubtedly Golden State's most important player, and Green is their second most important player on most nights.

An official announcement from the league is likely coming soon.
