Devin Booker and Bradley Beal Injury Updates for Suns vs. Warriors
Speaking with reporters on Monday, Phoenix Suns head coach Frank Vogel revealed that both Devin Booker (toe), and Bradley Beal (back) went through practice, and the team is hopeful both will be good to go for opening night against the Golden State Warriors. While neither Booker nor Beal were expected to miss extended time with these injuries, it's encouraging to hear they went through practice on Monday in preparation for opening night against the Warriors.
Opening night is always highly anticipated, but this Suns vs. Warriors matchup is even more intriguing than most season openers. With Kevin Durant playing in front of the Warriors fanbase for the first time since leaving Golden State in 2019, there is that storyline to follow. There is also the Klay Thompson vs. Devin Booker matchup that has gotten heated in recent years - although both players seem to have put that behind them after Thompson's recent praise for Booker during an episode of Paul George's Podcast P show.
For the Warriors, they will be without Draymond Green, which likely means Chris Paul will remain in the starting lineup alongside Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins, and Kevon Looney. Once Green returns, Golden State will likely decide between Looney and Paul for that final starting spot.
Opening night is always fun, but Suns vs. Warriors should be even more exciting than usual.
