Former Warriors GM Reveals if Steph Curry Forced Trades
Steph Curry is the most important member of the Golden State Warriors. What he says, goes, and who he wants on the team should be valued more than anyone. Former Warriors GM Bob Myers revealed just how much pull Steph Curry has with the Warriors organization.
In an interview with Tim Kawakami of The Athletic, Bob Myers revealed that Steph Curry has never forced the Warriors to make a trade.
"Steph Curry never forced anything. It's just not his nature," Myers said, according to Tim Kawakami of The Athletic. "But did he want to be informed? Yeah, he deserves that. If anybody deserves it, it's him, amongst every athlete I've ever encountered."
Some players like LeBron James get branded as the secret general managers of their team. Bob Myers is adamant that Steph Curry is not one of those players.
"You might say there's no one more deserving of what's going on in the organization than Steph Curry," Myers said. "But if you know him, and I think a lot of the fans do … he's not a closet general manager."
Looking at the Warriors' roster, there are certain aspects that Steph Curry has definitely imprinted. Keeping Draymond Green and Klay Thompson is a high priority to Curry and it's clear they are still there because of him. However, he hasn't forced any trade demands to ship off any of his former teammates. Fortunately for Golden State, everything has always worked out for the franchise - especially with four championships to prove it.
