The relationship between Draymond Green and Chris Paul has become a story after the Golden State Warriors traded Jordan Poole for the veteran point guard. In a 2020 episode of All The Smoke, Green said, "I don't like [Chris Paul] at all. Like we don't have a good relationship at all, but I respect his hustle and I respect his IQ."

Green recently addressed those comments on Patrick Beverley's podcast, saying, "I've publicly said I didn't like Chris before. I'm just not gonna be like, 'Oh man, that changed, now he's my teammate.' No, I look forward to talking amongst men. I look forward to working with another adult."

Paul has kept a more positive tone when speaking about Green, recently saying in a video posted by the Warriors, "I feel sorry for the other teams that’s got to play against both of us. Because he’s always been very vocal, as I am. I’ve always thrived with guys like that."

During a recent podcast episode, former Warriors guard Gilbert Arenas shared his take on the situation, saying any prior beef should no longer be an issue now that Green and Paul are teammates.

"That's not a real - It's a beef because you're a rivalry, but that's not a [real beef]," Arenas said. "Usually it's just a beef because ya'll are just rival teams. That's like a Duke player going to North Carolina, you're not going to lose games not passing him the ball."

Arenas downplayed this beef between Paul and Green, saying it stemmed from an on-court rivalry that won't impact their time as teammates.
