Warriors star Klay Thompson made NBA history vs. the Milwaukee Bucks

Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry is the greatest shooter in NBA history, and his backcourt partner Klay Thompson has a case for being the second greatest shooter in NBA history. While injuries have impacted Thompson's place on many all-time shooting lists, the sharpshooting guard overtook Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James for 7th place on the NBA's all-time made threes list during Saturday night's game vs. the Milwaukee Bucks.

Had Thompson not missed two full seasons due to injuries, he would have passed James a long time ago. Based on his average makes from deep per season, Thompson would likely be right around 4th on the NBA's all-time made threes list had he not missed the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons. That said, Thompson is proving he still has the ability to knock down shots, and will continue to climb this list.

The only active players above Thompson now on the NBA's all-time made threes list are his teammate Steph Curry, LA Clippers guard James Harden, and Milwaukee Bucks guard Damian Lillard. Assuming both Harden and Lillard continue to play at their current level for the next few seasons, Thompson will likely end up around top-5 all-time in made threes by the time his career is over. 

The possibility of climbing even higher than that is there, but current trends would project for the Warriors guard to end up 5th all-time, which is incredible.
