Injury Report: Golden State Warriors vs New Orleans Pelicans
The Golden State Warriors and New Orleans face off tonight in an early battle for who remains atop the Western Conference. Both teams have some names listed on the injury report, but the Warriors have much bigger ones.
The Warriors have three players listed on their injury report: Draymond Green, Klay Thompson, and Jonathan Kuminga. Draymond Green is listed as probable due to a left ankle sprain, Klay Thompson is listed as questionable due to right knee soreness, and Jonathan Kuminga is listed as questionable due to a left knee contusion. All three players are key players for the Warriors, and it's worth noting that tonight is a back-to-back for the team.
The New Orleans Pelicans also have three players listed on their injury report: Jose Alvarado, Naji Marshall, and Trey Murphy III. Jose Alvarado is out with a right ankle sprain, Naji Marshall is out with a right knee contusion, and Trey Murphy III is out with a partial meniscectomy on his left knee. While Alvarado is an important piece, the biggest thing for the New Orleans Pelicans is that Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram are healthy.
Last season, the Warriors typically didn't play their key players during the second night of a back-to-back. Head coach Steve Kerr had mentioned that the team would be playing in them this year, so what happens tonight will be something to watch.
