Injury Report: Golden State Warriors vs. OKC Thunder
The Golden State Warriors and Oklahoma City Thunder are set to face off in an in-season tournament matchup on Friday, and the two teams have released their injury reports. For Golden State, they will be fully healthy, but for Oklahoma they will have some key players missing.
Beginning with their best player, the Thunder will be without Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in this one. The star guard is dealing with a left knee sprain, and is unable to play. In addition to Gilgeous-Alexander, the Thunder will be missing Keyontae Johnson and Kenrich Williams. Jaylin Williams was listed as questionable, but is now expected to play.
As previously mentioned, this is the first look at an in-season tournament game, which should make it more exciting. While Gilgeous-Alexander's absence is a major blow to OKC and the overall excitement of this game, there is still a lot of intrigue with this matchup.
Nobody knows exactly what the in-season tournament will look like, but it should be a fun change from the usual regular season games, and it's something the NBA hopes will be a success. The Thunder and the Warriors have both started the season well, with Golden State being 4-1 while the Thunder sit at 3-2.
This should be a fun game between two teams with high hopes for this season. The Warriors and Thunder will tip-off at 5:00 PM PST.
