With the Boston Celtics keeping their season alive, Jayson Tatum is on the verge of joining LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Steph Curry as the only active players to score at least 500 points in multiple playoff runs. Currently sitting at 498 points this postseason, which leads the NBA, Tatum needs just one bucket in Game 6 vs. the Miami Heat to join this historic list.

LeBron James leads all active (and non-active) players with nine postseason runs with at least 500 points, followed Kevin Durant who has done it four times, and Steph Curry who has done it three times. No other active player has done it more than once, which will change on Saturday night when Tatum gets his first bucket.

Across all of NBA history, only 14 players have scored at least 500 points in multiple playoffs runs, and all of them are either in the Hall of Fame, or a lock to join it once eligible. This will put Tatum in incredible company.

As previously mentioned, Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry is one of the three active players on this impressive list, tallying at least 500 postseason points in 2015, 2019, and 2022. Even more impressive, Curry is one of just six players in NBA history with at least two playoff runs eclipsing 600 points, which he achieved in 2019 and 2022.
