Could the Golden State Warriors and Toronto Raptors complete this trade?

The Golden State Warriors may need to reshuffle their roster this offseason if they want to reenter serious title contention. The team was able to win the 2022 NBA championship with a roster somewhat similar to what they ran back last season, but regression from Jordan Poole and others, along with the departure of some key role players, helped produce a disappointing second-round exit to the Los Angeles Lakers.

As the Warriors look to regain their championship form, a recent article from Greg Swartz of Bleacher Report proposed an offseason trade for Toronto Raptors forward O.G. Anunoby.

This trade proposal has O.G. Anunoby and Thaddeus Young going to Golden State, with Jordan Poole, Ryan Rollins, and a 2023 first-round pick going to Toronto. For the Warriors, they get a solid starting wing that would compliment their big three, while the Raptors get a core piece to jumpstart their rebuild - if they choose to finally advance in that direction.

Poole is a very interesting trade piece, because while his age allows him to fit as a rebuilding centerpiece, his play last season was inconsistent, and he's being paid like a star. It's unclear if Poole is the type of player Toronto is looking to commit to long-term, but if the Warriors were intent on moving him this summer, a trade for a solid starting option would be ideal.
