NBA Legend's Shocking Statement on Steph Curry Three-Point Contest
The entire NBA world is waiting to see what happens when Steph Curry goes against Sabrina Ionescu. While everyone is trying to pick a winner, NBA Hall of Famer Isiah Thomas has a much different take.
When asked about picking a winner on NBA TV, Thomas picked Steph Curry to win the contest. However, he wants a new candidate to be in the three-point contest with Curry and Ionescu - Caitlin Clark.
"Imma go with Steph, but I'm gonna say this, neither one of them are the greatest shooters," Thomas said. "Right now, that Caitlin Clark, that's who I want to see. I want to see her in this competition. Bring Caitlin in and let her shoot against both of them. Because 22 in Iowa, she's the real deal, that's who should be in this competition."
The most shocking part about Thomas' statement isn't that he wants Caitlin Clark in the three-point contest, but that he doesn't believe Steph Curry is the greatest shooter in basketball right now. Just this week, Steph Curry made a shot over 90 feet away from the tunnel. No one in basketball history has done the things Steph Curry has done and continues to do. He's 1 of 1 when it comes to three-point shooting, and may never be seen again.
Regardless, one does have to wonder how Caitlin Clark would do in a three-point contest against Steph Curry.
