Rudy Gobert Blasts Draymond Green's 'Clown Behavior' After Chokehold
Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green was ejected on Tuesday night for putting Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert in a chokehold after an altercation between Klay Thompson and Jaden McDaniels. Speaking with reporters after the game, Gobert blasted Green, calling out his behavior - and also saying he finds ways to get ejected when Steph Curry is not playing:
Gobert and Green having taken shots at each other in the past, with subtle shots on social media to more blatant comments on other occasions, but this is one of the most direct shots either has taken. Calling out Green's "clown behavior" Gobert also said the Warriors forward does not want to play without Curry, so he finds ways to get ejected.
It will be very interesting to hear Green's response the next time he addresses the media, or if he takes to his own social media platforms to issue a statement. Green has been active on social media lately, recently calling out his critics following his ejection that preceded this most recent one, so he could certainly break his silence at some point.
Ejected from this game, there is also a chance Green is suspended and fined for his chokehold on Gobert. The NBA determined Gobert was not at fault for this incident, which is why he remained in the game while Green was sent to the locker room.
