It was announced by Shams Charania of The Athletic that Phoenix Suns star Bradley Beal may miss Tuesday night's season opener vs. the Golden State Warriors with a back injury. Charania added the Suns are being cautious with their new star guard, which could lead to him missing this highly anticipated game.

Not only is this game highly anticipated because it's opening night, but there are several storylines that fans have been looking forward to. One of the biggest storylines in this game was supposed to be the debut of Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal as a trio. If Beal is sidelined, this will have to wait.

Another exciting element of this game is Durant's return to Golden State in front of fans for the first time since is departure in 2019. Unless something unexpected happens, this is still on track to happen.

The Warriors and Suns are two teams that project to be near the top of the Western Conference this season, which makes all of their regular season matchups intriguing. While this is of course just the first of 82 regular season games, these head to head matchups against Western Conference opponents are crucial, and could always be deciding factors in tie-breaker scenarios at the end of the season.

This should be a fun opening night between Golden State and Phoenix.
