While Steph Curry loves to golf during the offseason, he usually doesn't get to start his summer until June. Having played in the NBA Finals six different times in his career, Curry has gotten used to making deep playoff runs. With the Warriors getting eliminated by the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference Semi-Finals this past year, Curry joked about that when asked about his improved golf game:

While it's not the outcome he wanted, Curry joked that losing to the Lakers gave him a head start this summer on his golf game. That extra work has certainly been paying off this weekend, as Curry currently leads the American Century Celebrity Golf Championship. Of course also sinking a hole-in-one on Saturday, Curry has been very impressive on the golf course throughout this entire weekend.

While losing to the Lakers may have given Curry some extra time on the golf course, it's definitely something he and the Warriors do not want to happen again. Pivoting away from their two timeline plan this summer, Golden State has made it clear that they still want to compete for championships with Steph Curry, Draymond Green, and Klay Thompson.

Acquiring Chris Paul is something the Warriors hope will make them more competitive in the Western Conference next season, because as previously mentioned, this team is not content with the run they had last year.
