Los Angeles Lakers legend LeBron James has overtaken Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the NBA's all-time leading scorer. He drilled a jumper late in the third quarter that put him over the top, and the game stopped to honor him with a ceremony. Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry reacted to the feat by James with a Tweet shortly after the moment occurred:

An all-time record holder himself, as the NBA's leader in career three-pointers made, Curry took a moment to recognize James for achieving the league's most notable all-time record. Curry and James have had several legendary battles over the years, facing off in the NBA Finals every season from 2015-2018, and there is a lot of mutual respect between the two stars.

It was a truly special moment for James and the entire NBA on Tuesday night, and it was also great to see Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in the building for the historic moment. There have been a lot of iconic moments throughout league history, but few will rival this night.

The Golden State Warriors will face the Lakers later this week when they host Los Angeles on Saturday night. Curry will unfortunately not be active for this game, as he is sidelined with a lower leg injury. Curry will be sidelined for several weeks, so fans will unfortunately not get to see the matchup between him and LeBron James.

Curry has a lot of respect for LeBron, and showed that with his message for the all-time leading scorer.
