Steph Curry's Injury Status vs. San Antonio Spurs Revealed
The Golden State Warriors have released their injury report for Saturday's game against the San Antonio Spurs, and Steph Curry has been ruled out. Injuring his ankle vs. the Chicago Bulls, Curry will miss at least one game, and likely a few. That said, the superstar point guard is not expected to miss much time beyond that, and shouldn't be facing an extended absence.
Every game is pivotal for the Warriors, and they will have to find ways to win without Curry. Trying to improve their position in the Western Conference standings, Golden State's margin for error is slim to none at this point.
While falling out of the play-in tournament is very unlikely for the Warriors, as they currently have a 5.5 game cushion on the 11th seed Houston Rockets and Utah Jazz, Golden State wants to climb to the top of the play-in tournament if they can't reach the 6th seed.
The play-in tournament projects to include some really talented teams, with Golden State being one of them. Entering the play-in as the 7th or 8th seed would give the Warriors two games to win one, whereas the 9th and 10th seeds need to win two games in order to make the playoffs.
A lot can happen in between now and the end of the season, and Golden State wants to maximize their seeding.
