Steph Curry's Status vs. OKC Thunder Revealed
While the Golden State Warriors got positive news from Steph Curry's MRI, the superstar point guard will not play on Thursday night vs. the OKC Thunder. In their statement on Curry's injury, the Warriors wrote the following:
"Warriors guard Stephen Curry, who did not play in last night's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves due to a sore right knee, underwent an MRI yesterday afternoon to determine the extent of the injury," the Warriors wrote. "The MRI did not reveal any structural damage. Curry sustained the injury during Sunday's game against the Timberwolves when he fell on his right knee. He will not play in Thursday's game against Oklahoma City (sore right knee) and will be re-evaluated at some point later this week."
The official injury report has since confirmed this statement, as Curry has been ruled out vs. OKC. Now also without Draymond Green, as the veteran forward has been suspended five games, the Warriors will be down two starters in this one.
It will be interesting to see how the Warriors choose to start this game, as Chris Paul is the likely starter for Curry, but there are a couple options for Green's spot. Having lost four-straight games to drop to .500 on the season, the Warriors are in desperate need of a win. It won't be easy without Curry and Green, but they will have to find a way.
