After missing last game vs. the Golden State Warriors, San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama is available for the rematch on Monday night. The Spurs were able to defeat Golden State despite Wembanyama being out, as the Warriors struggled mightily in the absence of Steph Curry.

While Wembanyama is returning to the lineup for this game, Curry remains out with an ankle injury. The Warriors are hopeful that Curry will return soon, and they certainly need him. Looking to climb as far up the Western Conference standings as possible, the Warriors are trying to escape the 10th seed that they have seemingly been trapped in for a while.

Golden State has made some brief appearances at the 9th seed in recent weeks, but some bad losses have them back in 10th, with the Los Angeles Lakers 1.5 games above them. The Lakers have pulled off some timely wins in the same span the Warriors have suffered some bad losses, which has Golden State looking up at their Pacific Division rivals.

This game is as close to a must-win as it gets for the Warriors at this point in the season, as they cannot afford back-to-back losses to the Spurs. San Antonio of course has Wembanyama, but Golden State badly needs this game to get them back on track and avoid any more slippage in the standings.
