Warriors Announce New Free Agent Signing

The Golden State Warriors have announced the signing of free agent Dario Saric

The Golden State Warriors officially announced their free agent signing of veteran forward Dario Saric, sharing an official press release on Wednesday afternoon that read the following:

The Golden State Warriors have signed free agent forward/center Dario Saric to a contract, it was announced today. Per team policy, terms of the agreement were not released. Saric, 29, owns career averages of 11.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 23.7 minutes in 415 games (217 starts) over seven seasons with the Philadelphia 76ers, Minnesota Timberwolves, Phoenix Suns, and Oklahoma City Thunder. The 6’10” forward appeared in 57 games (12 starts) with the Suns and Thunder last season, tallying averages of 6.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 14.1 minutes per game. As a member of the 76ers during 2017-18 season, Saric recorded career-high averages in points (14.6), rebounds (6.7), assists (2.6), and made a career-best three-point field goals made (157). A native of Sibenik, Croatia, Saric was selected by the 76ers with the 12th overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft and played professionally in Croatia and Turkey before joining the NBA."

The Warriors needed some more front court depth, and were able to add some in Saric. Not effectively replacing Otto Porter Jr. last season, the Warriors missed his production, and hope Saric can provide something similar to what Porter provided in their 2022 championship run.
