Warriors Announce Roster Move After Loss to Thunder
Following their loss to the OKC Thunder the Golden State Warriors announced that Trayce Jackson-Davis and Gui Santos had been sent to the Santa Cruz Warriors to play in their G-League game on Friday night against the G-League Ignite. The team's official statement read the following:
"The Golden State Warriors have assigned center/forward Trayce Jackson-Davis and forward Gui Santos to the team's G League affiliate, the Santa Cruz Warriors, it was announced today. Both players are expected to play in Santa Cruz's game against the G League Ignite tonight at Kaiser Permanente Arena (7 p.m. PST tipoff). Jackson-Davis recorded a double-double with game highs of 28 points (11-of-13 FG) and 12 rebounds to along with one assist and a block in 31 minutes in his Santa Cruz debut on Nov. 10. Santos is averaging 14.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.00 blocks in 27.7 minutes over two games (both starts) with Santa Cruz this season. Jackson-Davis owns averages of 3.1 points, 1.9 rebounds and 7.8 minutes in 10 games with Golden State this season. Santos made his NBA debut with the Warriors last night, tallying two points and three rebounds in four minutes."
The Santa Cruz Warriors do not play again until Sunday, so it's possible that both players get recalled before the Golden State Warriors splay the OKC Thunder on Saturday night at home.
