After a trip down memory lane Monday night in Oklahoma City, reminiscent of a vintage Klay Thompson performance against the Thunder, the Golden State Warriors will try to extend the longest active winning streak in the NBA Wednesday evening.

Taking on the Utah Jazz in the second leg of a two-game road trip, the Warriors have a chance to notch their first double-digit winning streak since the 2018-19 season when they rattled off 11-straight in the middle of the regular season.

Golden State, which is also on a four-game winning streak against the Jazz dating back to last season, will be without Thompson according to Kendra Andrews of ESPN. He is expected to play against the Knicks Thursday night.

In addition to Thompson, the Warriors will continue to play without Draymond Green (back), Nemanja Bjelica (back) and James Wiseman (knee).

In the case of the Jazz, they’ll be without a crucial piece of their roster in Joe Ingles, who suffered an ACL injury against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Feb. 2. Meanwhile, Utah — which currently sits as the No. 4 seed in the Western Conference — has been able to ride a hot-streak from Donovan Mitchell.

Since returning from extended concussions symptoms, which kept him out for eight-straight games, Mitchell has averaged 29.5 points per game and six assists to help Utah maintain its position in the standings.
