Steph Curry Gets Honest About Future of Warriors
The Golden State Warriors saw their season end on Tuesday night when they fell to the Sacramento Kings in a win or go home play-in tournament game. It was a fitting ending to a disappointing season for the Warriors, as their fading dynasty now has more questions than ever.
With Steph Curry still a superstar-caliber player, the Warriors will have to get honest this summer about their roster construction around him, and make difficult decisions on how to optimize his final years as a star. Curry was asked about this following the loss, and made it clear that he wants to win.
"We obviously understand the league has changed and we're getting deeper into our careers and we have to continue to evolve and make the necessary adjustments to win games," Curry said. "But we put a lot of time into it. I think I worked harder than I ever have at being prepared for a season and being able to perform at the level that I expect, and [Klay Thompson and Draymond Green] have been through it with me."
Curry added, "At the end of the day, I just want to win. I know that's fully possible. I know the summer is going to be a lot of conversations and trying to set up ourselves to win, whatever that means. I hope that's the outcome."
