Steph Curry's Honest Statement on Draymond Green After Ejection
Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green was ejected from another game on Wednesday night, this time just four minutes into the contest. Warriors star Steph Curry was visibly upset after Green was ejected, looking incredibly frustrated that his teammate found himself in another situation like this.
Speaking with reporters after the game, Curry said of Green via Anthony Slater of The Athletic, "All I’ll say is we need him. He knows that. We all know that. So whatever it takes for him to be on the floor and available, that’s what’s gotta happen."
Understanding that the Warriors need Green to be the team they hope to be, Curry was frustrated that his teammate was ejected again, and so early into the game. That said, Curry and the Warriors were able to regroup and get a big win over a tough Orlando Magic team.
The Houston Rockets are continuing to surge, having won 10-straight games to apply serious pressure to Golden State for the 10th seed. While this has already been a rough season for the Warriors, coughing up the 10th seed would be the worst of all worlds.
Hoping to avoid a collapse that lands them outside of the play-in tournament, the Warriors understand they control their own destiny for a top-10 seed, and will try to win as many games as they can from here on out.
