The Washington Wizards are continuing to spotlight Black Owned Businesses in DC, Maryland and Virginia, not only for Black History Month but throughout the season.

For 4 consecutive years, the Washington Wizards have been recognizing and showcasing local Black-owned businesses. In 2022, the Wizards spotlighted 6 businesses from November to April, on the team’s Black-Owned DMV page, the Wizards’ social channels, in-game activations through Wizards marketing assets, and on Monumental Sports Network. Arsha Jones and her late husband Charles established Capital City in 2011. This family-owned business manufacturers specialty foods based in Prince George’s County, MD and their Mambo sauce, a staple in DC, brings all natives back home.
