First things first.

The Wizards In-Season Court looks pretty awesome in person. There’s been negativity around the overall In Season Tournament idea and the various teams’ court design. I think it’s a cool idea and look.

If you missed the details on the Wizards In-Season Court design, check it out here.

Now onto basketball. The Wizards are taking on the Charlotte Hornets again tonight but this time at home from Capital One Arena. In Wednesday’s contest, the Wizards would have an impressive outing from Kyle Kuzma and the bench was on fire. The defensive effort was also better showcasing Daniel Gafford most of the night.

The Wizards were off to a hot start offensively shooting at 70%. They jumped ahead 17-5 on the Charlotte Hornets, when the Hornets decided to take a timeout to regroup. The Hornets came back out on the court and turned around the defensive effort, coming to within two points around the two-minute mark in the quarter. The Wizards would only score an additional 10 points with the first quarter closing out Wizards 27, Hornets 22.

The second quarter started out much like the first; with the Wizards having a strong start. The Wizards did have six turnovers which the Hornets were able to gain seven points. With Tyus Jones leading Wizards’ scorers with 12 points, the team was able to hold the lead and close out the half 63-57.
