The Washington Wizards were able to have all of their players available for this game against the Philadelphia 76ers. However, it would not be enough to contain the Joel Embiid led Philadelphia 76ers. The 76ers defeated the Wizards 146-128. Reigning NBA MVP Embiid accounted for 48 of the 146 from his team. With the 76ers almost scoring 150 points, that is a clear indicator that the defensive skillset was just not there for the Wizards tonight.

While, the Wizards did have ten blocks, with Daniel Gafford contributing five of those blocks. Embiid was just too much for this team tonight and he was able to get his teammates involved as well. Many of the 76ers were able to get involved with Washington’s focus being on Joel Embiid. There’s a ton of star on the 76ers and they showcased that again tonight.

Was it all bad for the Wizards? No, it wasn’t. The team scored 128 points, which on any other night could have resulted in a win. Kyle Kuzma continues to be consistent scoring more than 20 points in all six games so far this season. All Wizards starters scored more than ten points.

Defense continues to be a challenge for the Wizards. Head Coach Wes Unseld Jr has openly shared that this is a concern and something the team is continuously working on. The season continues to go on and the Wizards are still looking for just their second win on the season. Next up for them is the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday, November 8 at 7:30pm at the Spectrum Center.
