Tyrese Haliburton started his career in Sacramento with the Kings. Many wondered why exactly did the Kings decide to even draft Haliburton because they already had their point guard of the future in De’Aaron Fox. The two played next to each other but it simply wasn’t in synchrony. The synergy just wasn’t there and that is why the Kings decided to move on from Tyrese Haliburton. Once traded to Indiana to play for the Pacers, Tyrese Haliburton became an all star. He became one of the best passers in the NBA. As a matter of fact, he may be a top 10 player in the league now.

The Washington Wizards decided to trade for their point guard of the future as well in Tyus Jones. Through two quarters at the half, it appears that Tyus Jones is outplaying the great Tyrese Haliburton. It is already showing up that Tyus Jones may be the best pickup the Washington Wizards had in this busy offseason. He doesn’t have the splashy name of a Jordan Poole, but it is definitely a party watching Tyus Jones play.

He is the floor general the Washington Wizards desperately needed. All last season as we watched the Wizards play, every game the feeling many had was the fact that they desperately needed a starting point guard. They needed an upgrade at the position and they found that in Tyus Jones. Jones has had some really good seasons over the years but if he continues this hot start every game this season, he may be a candidate for Most Improved Player of the Year. At halftime, he has 14 points, 6 assists, and 3 rebounds. The All Star Tyrese Haliburton only has 5 points to go along with 7 assist.
