The Washington Wizards versus Brooklyn Nets matchup has been a tight one so far from the District this evening. There’s already been nine lead changes in this game showing both teams aren’t going to back down any time soon in this one it appears.

For the Wizards, forward Deni Avdija is cooking with the hot hand in the first half. Avdija is playing with a ton of momentum and overall energy. Avdija has been an active contributor in most games this season and to see him show his leadership characteristics in the game thus far is great to see.

The Wizards currently are outrebounding the Nets and have 16 assists. They are keeping the turnovers minimal with just four. Four is very minimal for them.

Defensively, the Wizards should continue to stay aggressive and make this Brooklyn Nets team work for it. So far, it’s been a collective team effort by the Wizards and they will have to continue to do that against a Nets team that at any given moment can get suddenly get hot in the paint and from the three.

The Nets have been able to score 12 second chance points to the Wizards 0. While the Wizards are showing strength in rebounding, offensive rebounding resulting in points on the board will need to be an improvement to help their chances to come through with a win.
