Washington Wizards vs. Charlotte Hornets Game Predictions

Inside the Wizards staff gives predictions and insight on Washington Wizards vs. Charlotte Hornets game.

The Washington Wizards (1-5) travel to face the Charlotte Hornets (2-4) at Spectrum Arena in Charlotte, North Carolina. Tip-off is at 7:00 PM EST.

A win for the Wizards would snap a four-game losing streak spanning back now eleven days.

This game is the first of a home-and-home for the two teams as Friday night they meet in an in-season tournament game, this time in Washington D.C.

Let's see how the Inside the Wizards staff views this matchup.

Gage Sheets: Hornets 128 Wizards 123 (Prediction Record 3-0)

The last time these two met in a regular season game Washington was on a three-game losing streak. This time is different though as they don't have now Boston Celtics forward Kristaps Porzingis to score 36 points. In all five Wizards loses this year they've gotten out-rebounded. The Hornets are middle of the pack in that department, but Washington is the worse in the NBA. I think the Hornets win the rebound battle and win what should be a high scoring affair.

Darrell Owens: Wizards 117 Hornets 108 (Prediction Record 1-0)

The Washington Wizards (1-5) are facing the Charlotte Hornets (2-4) in their fifth road game of the season. This game will be the first of four matchups between Charlotte and Washington this season. The Wizards lost Monday night against the Philadelphia 76ers 146-128. Reigning MVP Joel Embiid dropped 48 points in the win.

The Wizards are currently in a four-game losing streak which they hope they can end tonight, and I think it will. The Hornets are a favorable matchup for the Wizards. Last season the Wizards took three out of four from Charlotte and Kyle Kuzma was the leading scorer for the Wizards in the first two games (20.28 points). In expected a big night from Kuzma that will help the Wizards get win #2 this season. Also expect a good night from Daniel Gafford, Charlotte doesn’t have the size inside to handle Gafford in my opinion.
