READ MORE: Wizard Trade Gafford to Dallas
It was only a few days ago that these two teams made a trade where Washington sent center Daniel Gafford to the Mavericks.
Now, Gafford gets the chance to face his former team.
These are two teams headed in complete opposite directions, with Dallas loading up for a run at the NBA championship.
Good news for the Wizards is that they should have everyone available tonight.
Let's see how the Inside The Wizards staff views the game tonight.
Gage Sheets: Mavericks 143 Wizards 113
Dallas isn't the worst matchup for Washington but the sheer scoring power that the Mavericks bring to the table is going to be too much for the Wizards.
Rebounding is what usually does Washington in but statistically Dallas isn't good on the boards either.
The big issue there is you took arguably the Wizards best rebounder and put him on the Mavericks.
Gafford gives Dallas so much more flexibility when it comes to rebounds it makes them even more dangerous.
Why The Wizards Moved On From Daniel Gafford
None of that will matter though when Mavericks guard tandem of Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic start rolling though.
It is possible that Washington keeps it close by playing fast but eventually Dallas will overwhelm them.
