Washington Wizards vs. Detroit Pistons Game Predictions

Inside The Wizards staff gives you their predictions and analysis for the game against the Detroit Pistons.

The Washington Wizards (2-14) are on the road to play the Detroit Pistons (2-14) at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan. Tip-off is at 7:00 p.m. ET.

It is finally here, the matchup we have all been waiting for: Wizards vs. Pistons, the two worst teams in the Eastern Conference.

Washington has lost nine straight games while Detroit is trying to outdo it with a 13-game losing streak of their own, and since there aren't any ties in the NBA one of those is coming to an end.

Let's see how the Inside The Wizards staff views the game tonight.

Gage Sheets: Pistons 122 Wizards 120

Washington is the worst team in close games in the NBA and is 1-7 in games decided by less than 10 points, and 0-5 in games decided by less than five.

The Pistons aren't much better in close games, but they do rebound the ball better.

A big-time second chance or defensive stop late in the game could decide it and I trust Detroit more than the Wizards.

Watch out for the injury report as Washington guard Jordan Poole may miss tonight.

Darrell Owens: Wizards 114, Pistons 109

The Washington Wizards (2-14) are facing the Detroit Pistons (2-14) in their first game of a three-game road trip. This game will be the first of three matchups between Detroit and Washington this season.

The Wizards lost Saturday against the Atlanta Hawks 136-108 and are currently on a nine-game losing streak.

This game tonight vs. the Pistons will be the best opportunity for the Washington to end its losing streak because it has some tough opponents between now and the end of December.

Both teams come in with matching 2-14 records and both will fight hard to grab win number three and turn some momentum in their favor.

I think Wizards forward Kyle Kuzma will show out tonight to help them get win number three.
