The Washington Wizards continue to show flashes and growth in some areas. However, it is not enough to compete with the offensive efficiency of Shai Gilgeous Alexander and the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Looking at the 147 – 106 score, defense continues to be an Achilles heel for the Wizards. There were some highlights and things to note on the positive side of things for the Wizards.

In his second night in his new role, Wizards guard Jordan Poole scored in double digits again. This time, Poole had 21 points, three assists, and three rebounds off the bench.

Washington forward Corey Kispert scored 20 points (6-12 FG, 3-7 3PT), two rebounds and two steals in 25 minutes from off the bench. Kispert has now topped 10+ points 34 times this season, including in eight of his last 10 outings from off the bench.

Washington forward Marvin Bagley III scored 15 points (6-12 FG), a team-high 14 rebounds (10 were offensive), two steals, one assist and one block for his seventh double-double of the season and his sixth in 13 appearances with the Wizards. Bagley III has now scored in double figures in 25 total games this season, including in 11 of his 13 games as a Washington Wizard.

Up next for the Wizards are the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday, February 25 at 6:00PM EST back at home at Capital One Arena.
