The Washington Wizards appeared to be having fun in preseason game three taking on the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden. Wizards 131 and Knicks 106.

The Wizards had some shifts on the injury report with Kyle Kuzma being out (calf) and Deni Avdija returning to the starting lineup. Tyus Jones, Jordan Poole, Daniel Gafford, and Bilal Coulibaly rounded out the starting five to take on the Knicks.

While the Knicks were leading after the first quarter, the Wizards soon turned it up a few notches to convincingly take the game over. The Knicks appeared to start the come back swing in the second half closing the score to within two. The Wizards continued to break away and would seal the victory in the end.

Jordan Poole showcased his hot hand and three-point shooting skills with 41 points. Mike Muscala also got involved in the three-point shooting rotation with five three pointers made on the night. Muscala also led the team with eight rebounds. Rookie Bilal Coulibaly continues to highlight his defensive abilities with three steals.

Washington connected at a.444 rate (20-of-45) from three-point range and a preseason-best .913 clip (21-of-23) from the free throw line.

The Wizards bench came up huge in the 131 – 106 victory pulling in 63 points. The team also maximized the Knicks 15 turnovers by scoring 32 points with those opportunities and led by as much as 26 points in the game in front of a crowd of 18,881 in attendance.
