Wizards vs Suns Postgame Quotes From Coach Wes Unseld Jr., Kyle Kuzma & Daniel Gafford
The Washington Wizards unfortunately couldn't carry over the momentum from their only win in the month of December, into Sunday's game against the Suns, losing 108 - 112.
After the game Coach Wes Unseld Jr., Kyle Kuzma & Daniel Gafford spoke to the media. Below are a few notable quotes from the postgame conference.
Coach Unseld Jr.
"In General I didn't think there was an issue with the offense. I like the things we did and in general I thought we had some carryover from the other night [Wizards Game vs Pacers]. So that's a positive and we'll continue to build on that."
"I thought we tried to play Team Ball... the ball was moving, you know, obviously the statistics don't show because we struggled to make shots. But I thought we were, you know, trying to play the right way and do the right thing. So I think that's carry over."
"[Daniel Gafford] takes a beating some nights and he just keeps keeps going... [he's] just always quarterbacking the defense and being tasked with protecting the rim at an elite level. But he made plays after play to kind of keep us in it... to his credit, never gets a touch, you know, by design, but he makes the most of those minutes."
Kyle Kuzma
"I take responsibility for [offensive stalling] and I got to be better when teams, you know, take me out the game. They did a good job of face guarding really limited my paint attempts. Making me shoot a lot of threes"
Daniel Gafford
"We just have to pay attention to detail and make sure you know the little guys don't get on the glass and let the big fellas fight down there."
