Are The Wizards About To Make Another Trade?
The Washington Wizards recently traded away Forward Rui Hachimura to the LA Lakers in a trade that was stunning to us all. Rui Hachimura has been in a lot of trade rumors despite being injured and missing a ton of games this season. However, the interest of a Rui Hachimura trade seemed to be more on the end of opposing teams rather than the Wizards and GM Tommy Sheppard.
Ultimately, the Wizards budged and ended up moving the versatile forward in exchange for Kendrick Nunn. Nunn has proved to be a nice option for the Washington Wizards. However, are the Wizards done dealing or do they have another trade up their sleeve that would surprise us all even more?
Decisions will have to be made fast, quick, and in a hurry as the NBA Trade Deadline is coming upon us on February 9th. Kyle Kuzma is expected to hit the open market this summer and Wizards GM Tommy Sheppard is yet to offer him a contract extension. What is he waiting for? Sheppard went on the record to say he has no plans to trade Kyle Kuzma. As trade rumors are swirling across the league, here is what Kuz had to say on Twitter:
Could Kyle Kuzma be on the move. It certainly appears to be a possibility. Brooklyn Nets Guard Kyrie Irving has just requested a trade. The Atlanta Hawks desperately want to move on from Forward John Collins. Mark Cuban and the Dallas Mavericks are expected to be active upon the trade deadline. Keep an eye on what will happen with Kyle Kuzma. Just like he said, “Time Will Tell.”
