We are just a week away from determining the odds for the Washington Wizards in the NBA Draft. The NBA Lottery is set to air Tuesday, May 16th beginning at 8PM Eastern Time in Chicago, Illinois. The NBA Lottery is a day and moment where everyone involved in the franchise will have their fingers crossed. They may even wear their lucky neck tie or shoes, and some individuals may even go as far as doing all of the superstition acts.

This past season was a rough one for the Wizards but it may be a good idea to view everything as a blessing in disguise. Are the Wizards good enough to contender in the NBA? Are the Wizards good enough to even contend and make it out of the Eastern Conference? Now that they have missed the playoffs, they can now focus on improving the roster by getting a top 14 pick via the NBA Draft in the NBA Lottery.

What is the Wizards biggest need in this draft? They definitely have many guys that can get you a bucket. As a matter of fact, they had three players that scored over 20 PPG (Bradley Beal, Kristops Porzingis, Kyle Kuzma) and they had three other guys that averaged double digits in scoring (Rui Hachimura-traded to the LA Lakers, Corey Kispert, and Monte Morris).

Despite the Wizards having many guys that can get their own shot, it would really make the offense even better if they had a floor general. If the Wizards can find a leas guard that can lead the offense throughout the good moments and the bad ones, this Wizards team can be a threat in the Eastern Conference next season.
