There’s a saying in life that when things go wrong, they tend to go from bad to worst. Some people may or may not believe in luck. If and when they do, one may come to believe that they have bad luck. Once you get older in life, and you have a little more wear and tear on your body, injuries become hard to come back from. Just take a look at John Wall. We all know who and what he used to be on the basketball court. We may see glimpses of greatness, but it’s typically gone in a flash and he is truly a shell of who he once was.

Montrezl Harrell played one season in Washington with the Wizards. He was a fan favorite. While he only appeared in 46 games for the Wizards, he did average 15 PPG and offered a lot of exciting dunks throughout his time there too. He didn’t play much in Philadelphia last season either with the 76ers. He basically fell out of the rotation and fell into Doc River’s doghouse. He got a lot of garbage time minutes but he was there for a lot of player coaching like Udonis Haslem with the Miami Heat

Harrell was a free agent for quite sometime this summer until the 76ers decided to bring him back on a one-year deal. Unfortunately, Montrezl Harrell has a torn ACL and Meniscus. This is unfortunate news as he just signed his deal last month. Reality has to kick in sometime and that time may be now for Harrell. He’s an undersized Center at just 6’7 with serious knee ailments. It was already hard for him to find a suitor over the summer although he ended up returning on a one-year deal in Philadelphia. It may not be much of a surprise if we have seen the last of Montrezl Harrell in the NBA.
