I know we are all excited and looking forward to the start of the upcoming 2023-24 NBA Season. You may have purchased NBA 2K24 and started Mycareer or Myleague to wet your appetite a bit. Or you may have started playing ball again every weekend to get back in the groove mentally. No matter the case, we are all looking forward to the NBA returning, especially since the NFL has begun.

While we await the return of basketball, some may be wondering who will make the NBA Allstar Team. In the case for the Washington Wizards, the only logical players that could and should make the All Star Team has to be newly acquired Jordan Poole and Kyle Kuzma. They both are former NBA Champions, they both have played well on the highest level in the NBA, and they both are dependable players capable of taking the lead every given night. But who would get the All Star Nod if it came down to them both?

Jordan Poole & Kyle Kuza - The Future of the Washington Wizards

Kyle Kuzma should get the All Star Nod for the Washington Wizards if we had to choose a player from this franchise. Kuzma has earned a bit of equity with this team. Jordan Poole is the new man on campus. However, Kuz was here before it got ugly and he remained here after signing an extension despite the Wizards being in a bit of a rebuild period. Kuzma also plays both sides of the ball.

While we love the scoring, the three point shooting and explosive abilities by Jordan Poole, defense does play a critical role in winning in the NBA. Kyle Kuzma can guard every position on the floor. We can’t say the same about Poole unfortunately. Last but not least, Kyle Kuzma does whatever it takes to win. He doesn’t care much about his touches, how many shot attempts he’s having, or how many points per game he is averaging. Kuzma simply wants to win. With the league choosing NBA All Star Reserves, that is something they will consider. Kyle Kuzma has All Star written all over him and it is a realistic reality to see him make the All Star Team this upcoming season.
