For those familiar with Wizards press conferences, Kyle Kuzma is known to be a straight shooter. Kuzma is that guy if you want someone to keep it real. But rarely does his witty banter make it to the social media airwaves.

That changed immediately when Kuzma found out his former teammate Spencer Dinwiddie had a lot to say during a segment on FanDuel TV’s “Run It Back.” The host asked Dinwiddie about his Twitter beef with Kuzma that dates back to January when the Wizards beat the Dallas Mavericks.

Dinwiddie, a member of the Mavericks at the time, decided to take shots at his former team in his postgame press conference: “For them, it’s a showcase. They’re over there trying to get paid, not trying to play winning basketball.” Being the ultimate teammate, Kuzma responded to Dinwiddie.

When Dinwiddie addressed the beef in his FanDuel TV interview, he decided to throw out more insults towards Kuz.

“Didn’t I just say I was petty,” Dinwiddie said. “Like I said with the Draymond [Green] quote, insecurity is loud. You know that you’re there, shooting shots to try to get a contract. You’re probably not even a third star really on a good team, because if you were, the Lakers would have kept you.”

That’s when Kyle Kuzma turned to social media to fire back and he did not keep one thought to himself. As a matter of fact, he provided a whole thread of insults.

Since being traded away by the Wizards, Dinwiddie has made several disgruntled comments about his time in Washington including a few weeks ago when he essentially said he couldn’t figure out what the Wizards were trying to do.

On the other hand, Kuzma has thrived with the Wizards and is heading into free agency where he has an opportunity to collect a big payday in the offseason. The question is will it be with the Wizards or another team.
