In this story:

Delon Wright is now in his 11th season in the NBA. It honestly doesn’t seem nor even feel that way because we just haven’t seen much of him unfortunately due to injuries. In his first season with the Wizards last season, Delon Wright played in just 50 of 82 games last season. This year, he is on pace to play in under 70% of games as he tends to deal with injuries quite often.

Meet the Wizards: Delon Wright

Delon Wright has been known in the NBA for his tough fierce tenaciousness on the defensive end of the floor. He is in fact one of the best perimeter defenders in the entire league. That may be one of the reasons why he gets hurt so often.

Did The NBA Snub Delon Wright?

Another aspect of Delon Wright’s game that has been impressive is his ability to stretch the floor. If you leave him open, he certainly will make you pay for it. He can get hot and shoot with the best of them on any given night. That is key and important being a point guard. Point Guards don’t always have the ball in their hands. They have to be effective without the ball as well.

Delon Wright has been able to do just that! He has reached a very important milestone in his career as he has dished out over 1,500 Assist now throughout his NBA Career. Delon Wright is a player and Point Guard that every team in the NBA desires to have on their roster. He has spent time with the Toronto Raptors, Memphis Grizzlies, Dallas Mavericks, Detroit Pistons, Sacramento Kings, Atlanta Hawks, and now the Washington Wizards. He certainly fits the mold and is a highly coveted player in the NBA despite his injury history.
