The Washington Wizards are winless in three tries coming out of the NBA All-Star Break and as a result have fallen in this week’s power rankings.

“The Wizards are the second team to surpass its loss total from last season (35-47), and they’ve done it with an 11-game losing streak,” says NBA.com. “Over which they’ve had the league’s worst offense (105.8 points scored per 100 possessions).”

Trade Grades: Washington Wizards and Dallas Mavericks Trade

While falling in the rankings Washington has been helping NBA history by being on the receiving end of some interesting achievements.

First, Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic got his first triple-double against the franchise and has now had one against every NBA team he’s ever faced.

Speaking of the Nuggets, the Wizards allowed a record 98 points in the paint in that loss notching one of just 10 occurrences where one team has scored at least 88 from under the rim since paint points started being tracked.

They notched a second on Thursday.

While paint protection hasn’t been a strong suit in Washington the league site also pointed out that the team has lost multiple games this year while making more three-point shots than their opponent, joining the Golden State Warriors and Indiana Pacers as the only other teams to have multiple losses in this fashion.

Finally, the Wizards have yet to win the second of any back-to-back games played this season, the only NBA roster with that distinction.

With all of that, Washington dropped to No. 30 in the Power Rankings after spending much of it around the No. 28 and No. 29 spots.

Dead last in the league, especially after trading center Daniel Gafford to the Dallas Mavericks, and with guard Jordan Poole benched, the Wizards have looked bad and only appear to be getting worse.
