Who Would Fit Better For The Wizards In Today’s NBA: Gilbert Arenas or John Wall?

The game of basketball is a game loved by many. However, not any and everybody can be blessed to play this game at a high level. We have seen some phenomenal point guards play in the NBA. Guys like Magic Johnson, Steve Nash, Steph Curry, all the way to Damian Lillard - these guys have changed and revolutionized the game of basketball in the NBA.

The Wizards Have Finally Unleashed Tyus Jones

The Washington Wizards had some of the best point guards to play the game too. The most recent ones that come to mind are John Wall and Gilbert Arenas. They both are very electric players in two very different ways. They both impacted the game in a positive manner in both ways as well. It still feels like both players can play the game of basketball nowadays even in the NBA and even with their past injuries and at their age.

Tyus Jones have been playing some great basketball as of late for the Wizards. He even recorded his second career triple double just the other night! But let’s play a game of hypothetical where it can be of some help for the Wizards too. They will have to make a decision in next year’s draft so this may very well be a helpful outlook. If you had a chance to add a prime John Wall or a prime Gilbert Arenas to the Wizards team now, which one will help the Wizards the most?

As much as we appreciate both guards, the correct answer has to be Gilbert Arenas. In today’s game, the three point shot is valued extremely high nowadays. Gilbert Arenas had Steph Curry like abilities on the basketball court. He was a much quicker and more elusive player than Curry. He also had the ability to attack the basket and get to the free throw line as well. I’m sure we all remember many times seeing Gilbert Arenas take the ball around his waist two to three times before attempting his free throw. Additionally, his ability to score in the triple threat made his playmaking abilities even more dangerous. He didn’t look to pass much within the offense. However, he seemed to rack up many assists on a nightly basis simply because he was so dangerous scoring the basketball. Gilbert Arenas was truly ahead of his time.
