Washington Wizards Make Intriguing Roster Moves
To the shock of most people, the Washington Wizards waived guard Ryan Rollins late last night.

With the trade deadline coming up, we expect the Wizards to move some veterans and open playing spots for younger guys, one we thought would see more time was Rollins.
Rollins was acquired in the trade with the Golden State Warriors, where Washington essentially exchanged guards Chris Paul and Jordan Poole.
There hasn't been much of a chance provided for Rollins to prove he belongs.
Since he was just acquired a few months ago that makes the decision even more puzzling as the trade was one of the first this new Wizards front office made, so they had to see something in him that convinced them he had upside.
In a corresponding move Washington signed guard Hamidou Diallo to a ten-day contract.
Diallo has been with the Capital City Go-Go this season so there is familiarity within the organization with him.
The guard averaged 18.6 points with the Go-Go this season and has time in the NBA playing with the Oklahoma City Thunder and Detroit Pistons.
Three New Year's Resolutions for the Washington Wizards
2020-2021 was his best season where he averaged 11.9 points and 5.2 rebounds per game with the Thunder before being traded to the Pistons.
In 2019 Diallo famously won the NBA Slam Dunk Contest when we jumped over Hall of Fame center Shaquille O'Neal.
The stove is just now starting to heat up for the Wizards and first-year General Manager Will Dawkins and we expect the moves to continue to come so stay tuned to the Inside The Wizards page for all your Washington Wizards news.
