What Is On The Wizard’s Wishlist?
It is that time of the year again where many people are in the season of giving. Many people will be celebrating Christmas tomorrow. Some may be celebrating Kwanzaa or even Hannukkah while others may not necessarily be celebrating anything. Rather, they may simply be spending time with their loved ones and that is a gift worth giving every chance the opportunity presents itself.
The entire league have today (Christmas Eve) off. There are a handful of NBA Games played tomorrow on Christmas day. However, the Washington Wizards will have the day off. This Wizards team is only going to get better. The gift that is needed in the end is patience. However, here are a few gifts the Washington Wizards would love to get to improve their team and chances of winning on a nightly basis.
1. A Dominant Big Man
One thing about the Wizards is they really love and appreciate everything that Daniel Gafford brings to the table. From his rebounding abilities, rim protection, and the buckets he do get, they simply would be an incomplete team without him. However, they need more. This franchise hasn’t valued the center position a lot over the years. This dates back to Brendan Haywood, Nene, and even Dwight Howard who was at the back end of his career. The Wizards need a young athletic Center who can dominate on both ends of the floor.
2. A Scoring Point Guard / Floor General
The acquisition of Tyus Jones feels like a win for the Washington Wizards. Monte Morris time in Washington wasn’t a good time as he simply didn’t move the needle for this team. He also struggled to stay healthy and is still dealing with that problem. While Tyus Jones has been great, the Wizards want and need more from the point guard position. They always say the third time is the charm. Tyus Jones name has appeared in trade rumors. From Monte Morris to Tyus Jones, perhaps the next lead guard will be the perfect fit and match made in heaven for the Washington Wizards.

3. Defense On The Perimeter
When teams across the league see the Washington Wizards on their schedule, they tend to get excited because they know they’re in for a good night offensively. Besides Daniel Gafford and Bilal Coulibaly, the Washington Wizards struggle defensively. Even at times, they too struggle too but they are by far the Wizards best defenders. Perhaps it is a coach and philosophy issue. But the Wizards need help defensively as they are giving up a ton of points per game this season.
