As the NBA Regular Season approaches, most teams are anticipating the NBA Postseason. The regular season is long! 82 games is a lot. The body definitely takes a beating, especially on nights of back to backs. For some teams in the league, the playoffs are the goal. Simply making it is an accomplishment. While other teams in the league are thinking much bigger, like advancing to the Conference Finals or even Championship.

This new in season NBA Tournament may be what half the teams in the league are looking forward to. We have a few teams who are rebuilding while we unfortunately have a few teams who are simply stuck and have a lot of work to do for many years to come. The Wizards, however, are a team in a rebuild. While they probably won’t be making the NBA Playoffs, they certainly will look forward to the In-Season NBA Tournament that will likely give them a bit of a feeling of playoff experience.

The atmosphere will be as if they really are in a playoff game. Their schedule won’t be a walk in the park either as three of the four opponents are teams that made the playoffs. Those teams include the Miami Heat, Milwaukee Bucks, and the New York Knicks. The fourth team the Wizards will play is a team who appears to be stuck in their rebuild, the Charlotte Hornets.

While the Miami Heat just left the NBA Finals, they aren’t the toughest team the Wizards will face. The Charlotte Hornets won’t be much of a problem either. They are hoping Brandon Miller pans out and that is yet to be determined. Then there’s the Milwaukee Bucks. They simply want to get to the playoffs healthy and in one piece.

The toughest team the Wizards will face is the New York Knicks. The Knicks exceeded expectation tremendously last season. No one expected them to be this good. Jalen Brunson has truly made a difference. The Knicks are only going to get better and will only have higher expectations from others and within themselves. They will take this in season tournament and use it as fuel to their fire. The Knicks will be a very dangerous team in this new In Season NBA Tournament.
