Accolades

Tyus Jones grew up in Apple Valley, Minnesota where he played on traveling teams several grades ahead of his own and led every team along the way. Tyus was the starting point guard on his high school team for five years and led them to their first ever state title. He also took the Howard Pulley AAU team to the Nike Peach Jam, won an AAU National Championship and won three gold medals with USA Basketball!

While at Duke University, Tyus led the team to an NCAA Championship and he earned the NCAA Tournament's Most Outstanding Player award. Then in 2015, after Duke’s run to an NCAA National Championship, Tyus was named the Final Four Most Outstanding Player. 

Personal Life

Off the court Tyus Jones is a husband and the father of a son and newborn daughter.

Tyus is very proud to be the first NBA Ambassador for the United Heroes League organization that benefits the children of military families and is inspiring kids through his Write Your Own Story Technology Lab initiative which is renovating and refurbishing computer labs in schools.
