Why Trading For Marvin Bagley Was The Right Decision
The Washington Wizards are in a rebuild. It is no secret to anyone anymore. They have Kyle Kuzma and Jordan Poole on their roster playing at an exceptional level. They are the faces of the franchise as we speak. Kyle Kuzma has been the alpha thus far this season. Jordan Poole is a dog himself, however he offers more of a complimentary role next to Kyle Kuzma. They both can score with the best of them in the NBA when they are hitting on all cylinders. One problem that has been an issue for the Washington Wizards is size.
Wizards Make Trade With Detroit Pistons
Danilo Gallinari and Mike Muscala are some of the tallest players in the league. Danilo Gallinari stands at 6’10 and has the ability to beat you multiple ways on the offensive end. Mike Muscala is also 6’10 and may be an even better three point shooter than Danilo Gallinari. Both of their games are centered and focused at stretching the floor.
Gallinari and Muscala may both be big, however they don’t play big. One major issue the Wizards have this season is crashing the boards. Daniel Gafford has been doing the best he can in that department. Gafford is only 6’9 and has been doing well rebounding the ball. He really has been doing well defending the rim too thus far this season. The only issue there is he is only one man as he has been a one man show rebounding and offering rim protection.

The addition of Marvin Bagley is huge for the Wizards! This gives them someone who can help in the rebounding department. Marvin Bagley 6’10 - 235 Pound body frame will be a problem for opponents of the Wizards. You have to remember too that Bagley is a former number 2 overall pick in the NBA. The Wizards may have gotten a steal after acquiring Marvin Bagley.
