Wizards Cut Ties With Combo Guard
It certainly has been an extremely busy offseason for the Washington Wizards. The Wizards have traded away and traded for quite a few guards. Bradley Beal is no longer in Washington. Monte Morris was shipped to Detroit to play for the Pistons. Then, Chris Paul was with the team for a week or two before the Wizards traded for Jordan Poole. The Wizards have also added Tyus Jones into the mix as well. The Wizards backcourt is set with Jones and Poole to complete the starting guards. However, depth is needed now and the Wizards have made yet another roster move.
The Wizards have decided to waive Quenton Jackson. He was on a two-way deal so the Wizards weren’t truly in love with him. However, he was still a serviceable player as he averaged 6 PPG as he shot 45% from the field in just nine games for the Wizards.
He only averaged 15 minutes per game so that was solid production. He had great size and length for the Wizards as he stood at 6’5 so the Wizards will surely miss what he could do on both sides of the ball. The Washington Wizards certainly aren’t done making deal. This has been one of the busiest off-seasons in franchise history for this team. As a matter of fact, the Washington Wizards have been the busiest team in the NBA this offseason. While they are finalizing their roster for the start of their upcoming training camp, the feeling in the room is that the Wizards will continue to be active when it comes to forming their roster.
