The NBA Regular Season is set to begin officially tomorrow for the league. However, the Washington Wizards begin their Regular Season this Wednesday in Indiana against the Pacers. Dealing with Myles Turner is one of the toughest assignments in the league as he does a lot of damage beyond the ark, can bang down low, and is a force on the defensive end as well. The Wizards will need all the help they can get. However, they will be without Taj Gibson as the Wizards have decided to move on from the veteran.

Taj Gibson didn’t log a ton of minutes as he wore the red, white, and blue for the Washington Wizards. He was there for this team as a great locker room guy and player coach. When he did take the floor for the Wizards, he added some help on the boards and just a great feel for the game. The many years Gibson has logged in the NBA has helped his case in his NBA Career. Taj Gibson has played for the Chicago Bulls, Oklahoma City Thunder, Minnesota Timberwolves, and the New York Knicks as well.

After 13 years in the NBA at age 38, this feels like the end of the road for Taj Gibson. While his career nine points per game along with six rebounds per game doesn’t sound like much, his influence and impact on the game were huge throughout his career. He has played with some NBA greats such as Derrick Rose, Jimmy Butler, Carlos Boozer, Bradley Beal, Karl Anthony Towns, Rajon Rondo, and Pau Gasol.
